Dirtier Edits

After the disappointing 5th installment, the D-i-r-t-y Crew have un-earthed some gems for their next two releases, Dirty Edits #6 and Dirty Space Disco Vol 1.

First up is an obscure 80's classic which you will all recognise but few will know the artist or title. 'Goodbye Horses' by Q Lazarus is the tune used to soundtrack the serial killer Buffalo Bill dancing in the Silence of the Lambs. (Also parodied to great effect in Clerks 2 check here)

It has been given the edit treatment by Krikor and he has extended the track and removed the choruses, to great affect.

Q Lazarus - Goodbye Horses (Krikor Edit) // Dirty Edits #6

Released April 16th. Limited to 1000 copies

Next is a slo-mo disco funk bomb from back in 1982 from Yellow Power. This is part of a new release in conjunction with Tigersushi. Entitled Dirty Space Disco Vol 1, it is pretty self explanatory and does exactly what it says on the tin. Also included is a superb Joakim edit of 'Ride Me High' by legend JJ Cale. It has a great country vibe underpinned by a subtle 4/4 beat.

Yellow Power - Hai Samurai (Pilooski edit) // Dirty Space Disco Vol 1

Released April 30th. If you like the vibe of these two tracks check out www.alainfinkielkrautrock.com the blog from the D-i-r-t-y Crew.
