RAW's Belated Best-Of's

Seeing as most people managed to get their end of year polls out several weeks ago and certainly in time for the new year, I figured I'd best get on the case really.

So, for what they're worth, here's my contribution for the pot of what rocked in 2007. There's bound to be loads of great stuff that I wasn't fortunate enough to hear, things that I've forgotten and probably some things that I may not rate so highly as the years go by but as Langer has already noted, 2007 definitely produced some absolute gems!!!

Comments:
i don't get it..why you're so in love with bodzin and his rekorder stuff. highly overrated bully-techno. from bremen..(his town)....cheers

Lists are all about personal preference and charts such as these are always going to be extremely subjective - on a different day I'd probably order my selections differently too.

However, as far as my no. 1 track for the year goes, I'd stick with it because it contains so many of the elements that I like in music.

The key thing here is that it's danceable but more than that; the track evolves, it has a liberal helping of dirt and it's got a great breakdown / buildup for that hands in the air moment.

Sometimes, music is just too serious and seeing Bodzin live at Sonar last year was such a refreshing break from the mass of dull minimal stuff that was being piped out by too many others (don't get me wrong, I love the minimal stuff too but no peaks in a 2 hour set can be a bit much!) as both his music and enthusiasm for what he was doing (oh, and not to forget those white gloves!) injected a very healthy dose of fun into the proceedings.
