Rock Remixed

As promised in my last post here are a couple of Indie Rock tracks given the electronic edge via a remix. Everyone's at it these days, Bloc Party releasing a remix version of Silent Alarm, Test Icicles, White Rose Movement, The Futureheads, The Kills, Infadels, Mystery Jets, DFA 1979, the list goes on.

Electro Rock is the new sound, but lets not forget the original indie bands that started getting on a remix tip, in the late 80's Happy Mondays, The Stone Roses and Primal Scream all recieved remixes that fussed rock and electronics and started the much derided 'Indie-Dance' movement.

Remixers of note this year are Digitalism, SebastiAn, MSTRKRFT, Phones, Tiga, DFA, Blackstrobe, Alan Braxe & Fred Falke and of course the mighty Justice, whose remix of Simian's 'Never Be Alone' was huge last year and is also getting more mixes and a reissue this year.

They have just recently demolished Franz Ferdinand into what is possibly the best remix of the year so far.

Check this, their mix of 'The Fallen'
